It's Been So Long

Wow, it's fall already!  The summer came and went and I was absent from my blog.  I decided today that I am going to update and add pictures from the summer and I should be able to keep up now that summer is over.  I am going to try and add some photos to see if I can remember how to do it.


Ahh, yes, here is a sweet pincushion I made.  I have so much to share with you but I have run into a bit of a glitch with fetching my photos so I will have to wait until tomorrow to play with it and figure it out.

How Long.....

Hi friends.  Thought I would stop by to say I will post some pictures this weekend.  I have been so busy around our property.  We opened our pool this past weekend and are getting it ready for the coming weekend.  There is also weeding and mowing to be done.  Oh the happiness of summer!!  I promise to do a better job with pics and posts.  Be back soon!!

Happy Mother's Day

Hi blogger friends.  Happy Mother's Day to you all.  I wanted to say a word (or two) about my mum today being it's her day.  My Mom is a lovely lady who has made my life so happy.  She has given me my love of all things beautiful.  She showed me the joy of gardening, enjoying hot tea and a good book, loving anything to do with the Victorian era, baking, crocheting, loving the Lord and his good book.  She has also shared the joy of loving others and embracing life and just having a good time.  I'm so happy she's my Mom.  I'm sure we have many more wonderful things to discover yet in this life.  Hope your day was special!

It's Been Awhile

Yea I know I know, it's been  awhile again.  I haven't got to make anything lately but I have been finishing up a shawl I've been crocheting.  I'll post some pics after I finish it.  I'm also putting the binding on the edge of a beautiful quilt a dear friend made and gave to me.  It's so lovely.  I can't wait to post some pics of it.  I have to catch up on some blog reading so I'm calling it a night.  My bible study made me happy today.  What made you happy?

A Little Hello

I can't believe how long it's been since I last stopped by!  I had my daughters birthday to prepare for and we went away to the beach with friends last week so it's been more than a little busy around here.  I haven't even had time to make any little lovelies lately but I hope too tomorrow.  I'll drop in and post some pics hopefully.  Nite all.  Til tomorrow.....

In My Garden and a Bit More

Good Morning!  Since I finally figured out the picture situation I thought I may try and add a few photos today. I have taken a few in my garden this morning and then a few of the little lovelies I have been making lately.  Sooo without further ado let's get started with my first photo's.

This is my Lilac Bush.  It makes me so happy.  The smell is just dreamy!  It just started to bloom over the last few days.

And then there's my red Tulips.  These always bloom for Easter.  I love how they pop against the red brick of our house.  So pretty.

I was playing a little on picmonkey.com this morning.  I always wanted to try out Picnic but waited too long now that it's shutting down or charging or whatever they are doing, but I found picmonkey and have been playing a little there.  Anyway,

This is a fabric collage I made on my Birthday.  She's such a lovely lady, no?  This is titled "The Key is Dreams".  The reason being the key that I used had dreams written on it.  She looks like she has dreams though huh?  I believe she is from the graphics fairy but it has been a while since I downloaded her so I hope that's right.

This one I made for my Mom.  It says "A Mother's Love.  Again the graphics fairy.  I love using my old fabric and lace supply for these.  They make me so happy.

Here's a little ditty bag I made.  Oohh la la.  I love making French or Paris themed things.

My little pincushion.  This is my first one and I think I'm hooked.  I can't wait to make many more of these.

I crocheted these sweet little flowers for my pins.  These are so easy peasy and fast to make.  I have bought lots more string so that I can make many, many more of these!!  Oh yes, I got the tutorial for these from Todolwen.blogspot.com.  Hop on over there.  She has the loveliest blog.  It's one of my favorites.

I Think I'm Ready

O.K.  Here we go.  I have finally gotten my photo software installed and I think I can finally start posting some photo's.  It's taken long enough.  I'll try it out tomorrow.  I've been making some little pretties lately and can't wait to post some pics to share with you.  It may be just me for now but that's O.K. too.  We have to start somewhere.  I also have been tweaking the look of my blog some too.  So it's been changing a bit here and there.  Until tomorrow.....

Where did March go?  I know, I know.  Haven't you taken care of that picture thing yet??  O.K I'm going to work it tomorrow for sure.  I hope everyone (who me?? ha) had a beautiful Easter.  I can't wait to share some lovelies that I have been putting together.  Until tomorrow....

It's a Lovely Day..

It's a lovely day today with blue skies and sunshine, finally!!!  It's been so grey and dreary lately I had forgotten how nice it can be.  Have a lot planned today, bible study, house straightening, and more work on this blog.  Still need to get my software on so I can do pictures.  I have some little projects that I want to post some photos of.  I've been doing a lot of crocheting lately and some other little things.  So I'm off for a bit.....Have a great day!

It's a Grey Day...

O.K. so what's up with the grey background!  Hideous and I can't seem to change it.  I keep trying, but nothing.  What's up with this??

Good Morning

I'm going to work some more on my blog today.  I'm not even sure why I'm doing a blog but thought I would join the fun.  I've been following quite a few blogs and really have enjoyed it.  I do love to do all kinds of crafts and have 2 crazy cats that keep me in stitches most of the time.  I also have a wonderful hubby and a teenage daughter that keeps me busy.  I plan to post pictures as soon as I learn how to get them on here.  So that's it for now.  I'll probably be back later.  (I know I'm writing this to myself right now but hey we have to start somewhere, lol)

This is a Mess....

Trying different things with my blog.  Want to change my background.  I did change it once but didn't like it so I took it off and now I have a header I don't know how to get off so it will have to stay for now.  Going to keep working on it though.  There are a number of blog tutorial sites I have been checking out so the blog courses continue.  I was also able to add Cindy's button for her blog to mine so I guess that's a start.  I'll keep working at it.  That's it for now.
